From July 14th through August 1st, the Minnesota High School Cycling League is hosting the Give the Gift of Mountain Biking Donor Campaign. We’d like to raise $10,000 with our 15-day campaign, so we can direct your donations toward scholarships to get more kids riding mountain bikes.
Here’s why this is important. Many disadvantaged and inner city youth don’t have the funds to race in the league. You can help by giving the gift of mountain biking to those who can’t afford it. Our scholarship program is supplemented by sponsors, so
Make your donation by clicking here or using the ‘DONATE NOW!” button to the right.
When we reach our goal of $10,000, we’ll be able to help 40 disadvantaged and inner city youth race in our league and discover how great cycling can be!
In addition, the Minnesota High School Cycling League’s has set an ambitious new goal for getting junior and senior high school student athletes into the lifelong sport of cycling: In 5 short years, the league aims to show 40% growth annually.
We know that 80% of our riders believe they’ll be lifelong cyclists, thanks to the experience they’ve had racing in our league. Most of these students weren’t cyclists before joining our league. Our league is literally creating new cyclists, and creating cycling families as well.
Here’s a quote from a mother of one of our riders:
“Thank you so much for starting this league. We looked for years for a sport that fit our son. Thanks to your league, he’s become a cyclist and loves practicing and racing. We’ve bought mountain bikes, too, and go on rides as a family. “
Donate now to make sure other students have the opportunity to try this amazing sport!
