Please remember that all teams are designated an arrival time. Do not arrive before that time.

Race Course Description:
 The course starts with a nice warm-up climb to the top of the ski area. Once on top, all racers make a large traverse along the back of the ski area. The course has a good balance of climbs, descents and technical sections with switchbacks. The approximate vertical gain per lap is 400 feet. The course distance is 4 miles.

Pre-ride the Course:
We will post here and on social media when the course is marked. Before that time, teams can pre-ride on their own during regular park hours using the above map for guidance, or download the above GPX file for your navigation device. Click on the right top corner of the map above to view a larger Google Map of the course, parking, and staging area.

The course will be available to pre-ride until the Thursday before the race. There is no pre-ride during the race weekend (Friday–Sunday).

Venue and Parking Information:
Mount Kato Ski Area is just south of Mankato, MN, off Hwy 1. There is plenty of parking in the facility parking lot.  Do not park on the road leading up to the ski area.

Skills Course:
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will not be a skills course or competition this year.

Race Day Support:
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no neutral support at races this year. Make sure to bring your own multi-tool, spare tube, bike pump and any other necessary tools to make any last-minute adjustments or repairs to your own bike.

Special Notes:
– Drones are prohibited at all Minnesota High School Cycling League Events
– Be considerate of our venue and use the trash receptacles.
– Dogs on leashes are allowed ONLY in the parking area. No dogs allowed infield/on the course.

Concessions:
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no food or water on site.
