COST: $110

PAYMENT: Payment will be made to the Stillwater team, and they will pay
the Red Cross. Cost is $110/person. Make checks payable to the Stillwater Area Scholastic Cycling Advocates (SASCA). Bring check or cash to class.

NOTES: There will be a lunch break – class can order takeout and talk NICA shop! Please have your CPR card in hand as this is required by the Red Cross to take the WFA. Please email Calvin, if trouble getting your card to present.

Wilderness First Aid Class Overview (PDF)

Sign up today for Wilderness First Aid training and be prepared. This 16-hour training is designed to prepare anyone who rides bicycles in the wilderness to confidently and effectively respond to injuries and illness that can occur while riding.

The instructor will teach you how to respond to an emergency if you are in an area where help may be delayed in reaching you. The course includes training on what to do in case of: head, neck, and spinal injuries, heat related/hypothermia, allergis and anaphylaxis, burns, bone and joint injuries, and wounds and wound infection.

Participants need to be 14 years of age or older and be current in CPR/AED certification.

Why is this course needed?
All Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches need to be certified in Wilderness First Aid before the season begins. Get a jump on this and get certified.
