Josh Kleve, MN League Director and Co-Founder

Josh Kleve is a life-long mountain bike and alpine ski racer with a passion for youth development. A certified ski coach, Josh is a co-founder and the head coach of the Chaska/Chanhassen Alpine Ski Team, past MORC board member and a founding member of the Minnesota High School Cycling League. He says he was very fortune to have friends that got him involved in mountain bike racing at a young age and he hopes to provide that same opportunity to others. In his professional career, Josh works as a solutions architect for a software development company and is currently he is completing his MBA.


Libby Shea Hurley, MN League Communication Director and Founding Member

Libby Shea Hurley sits on the Executive Board of the MN Bike Alliance and is the Marketing Manager for Airborne Athletics, a manufacturer for basketball and volleyball training equipment. She got into biking as more than just a past time about twelve years when she joined the crew at Erik’s Bike Shop. When she arrived, there were six stores in the Twin Cities and upon her departure a few years back there were eighteen in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Not only was she instrumental in the success of retail store growth, she also led the interactive marketing design and development for the corporate and e-commerce site. In addition, she managed Erik’s sponsorship support for over 40 charities, foundations and community organizations. Libby is dedicated to ensuring that kids and teens have choices available when it comes to sports.


Gary Sjoquist, Co-Founding Chair

Gary Sjoquist is the Advocacy Director for Quality Bicycle Products, the nation’s largest bicycle parts distributor. Gary has been riding and racing mountain bikes since 1990, when he founded the Minnesota Off-Road Cyclists (MORC) to help build and maintain mountain bike trails in MN. He was also instrumental in helping develop the mountain bike trail system at Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area in Northern Minnesota, and since 2005 has served as Series Director for the statewide Minnesota Mountain Bike Series, an 11-race regional series serving nearly 4,000 racers. A former high school English teacher who has coached baseball, soccer, hockey and volleyball, Gary is passionate about mountain biking and how it can enrich the lives of teenagers and their parents.
