Who should attend?   Any NEW coach, assistant coach or ride leader

The majority of people who participate in this course are people who have not coached before in the MN League.  Other attendees are experienced coaches who would like a refresher training on the basics.

Prerequisites: Required webinar training to be completed prior to attending the Summit.

  • NICA Student-Athlete Coaching Philosophy
  • Risk Management 1

The Webinars will be available after the PITZONE is reset on/near April 1, per NICA.   See the Coach Licensing Note below:

Completion of this 2-day course, is required to become a Level 3 licensed coach for the MN League.

New Coaches will be divided into two OTBS101 groups.   Group1 will be held on Saturday Afternoon, Group2 on Sunday Afternoon.  Register for the group you want.  Bring your bike and a bike helmet for the group in which you register.     It will be very difficult to change groups after registration due to trainer ratio balancing.

Breakfast and Lunch are provided Saturday and Sunday for New Coaches

Coach Licensing Note:

This season NICA is launching a new online learning system for coach licensing. It will be easier to record and submit finished requirements for your coaching license. The content is improved, however and the topics and requirements are the same.
Wait to submit any of the leader summit prerequisites until after the Litmos learning software is available through the Pitzone. The current plan is to launch it on April 1st with the annual pit zone reset. We will send an announcement with instructions when the Litmos system is up and running.
